Customised Yellow Vespa

This vintage Vespa Scooter 50R Giallo of 25 March 1971 is a unique project and unveils a second Vespa personalised by Jan Pulles®. With a completely handmade original Crocodile leather saddle and a spare cover made of beautiful Calf leather, every detail has been crafted with extreme care and meticulous precision. The Crocodile leather, sourced from the Cayman species and farmed and certified strictly in accordance with CITES guidelines, offers not only an exclusive luxurious texture but also a beautiful colour. The leather on both saddles, selected from the best hides, shows no natural imperfections whatsoever. The spare cover, made from high-quality Calf leather and subtly combined with a Crocodile accent and matching accessories in the form of a pouch and inner bag, complements the whole in a sunny colour combination of yellow and white that cheerfully brings the vintage Giallo Vespa to life.
Originally from Genoa, this unique 1971 Vespa 50R in sunny colour was imported several years ago by a well-known collector before being purchased and ‘touched by Jan Pulles®’ in 2020.
This Vespa is very original and carefully painted in its original colour several years ago.
This with a very thin layer of paint so that the character of the Vespa was preserved by keeping spot welds and seams of the frame nicely visible because of this.
This scooter built in 1971 with delivery date 25 March from the Piaggio factory with matching numbers and accompanying original papers such as Certificato per Ciclomotore no. 309211-factory number 731829 and original booklet ‘Uso E Manutenzione Piaggio’.
Special detail is that the booklet shows the name of its very first owner : Mr Alfredo Gurhacci.
In the enchanting year 1971, this beautiful scooter rolled onto the streets as a true revelation of style and elegance. With its unique model and striking colours, this Vespa broke all conventions of that time and soon became the beloved model of the wealthy elite, known as ‘le Nouveau Riche’. However, Vespa served not only as a fashionable statement, but also as the perfect vehicle for leisurely rides. From opulent golf courses to picturesque marinas on the Italian and French Riviera and chic restaurants, this vehicle brought a touch of class and nostalgic charm wherever it appeared. The Vespa with its distinctive model and vibrant colour palette shared the passion for striking exclusive design and class with luxury car brands such as Ferrari and the breathtaking Lamborghini Miura!

She comes fully documented with original brochure, photo database of the restoration and upholstery and certificate of authenticity signed by Jan Pulles®.
